John Hollatz is a seasoned Project Engineer with well over a decade of professional experience in the design, construction and administration of civil construction projects in Southeast Alaska. He started working for Wilson Engineering in 2007, and in the following years has served our clients by providing Owner’s Representative & Project Manager services, Quality Acceptance & Inspection services, and Materials Testing services.
John has managed numerous projects including construction of roads, subdivisions, bridges, electrical utilities, sewer systems, lift stations, traffic signals, marine facilities, and public buildings. His inspection and testing experience includes asphalt, concrete, aggregate and soils testing, structural steel bolting, structural welding, pile driving, blasting, electrical systems, public utilities, SFRM fireproofing, pile and dolphin modifications requiring marine welding, drilling and tensioning rock anchors, and hot-stick repairs to galvanized coatings.
John enjoys the problem-solving challenges that the construction industry demands and the satisfaction of seeing a project come together from start to finish. John works hard to provide our clients with exceptional-quality work, utilizing his knowledge and experience from nearly two decades in the construction and quality control/assurance industry to meet our clients’ needs.
When John is not at his desk, he likes spending time with his wife and daughter, boating and fishing, snowboarding, kayaking, and mountain biking.
