The first section of Juneau’s seawalk was a test case for design of the railings, lighting, site furnishings, signage and amenities to be provided in later phases. A galvanized steel pile-supported deck, the various elevations of this structure needed to transition to a wide variety of existing elevations at each transition point. The team worked with adjacent property owners as they renovated and replaced existing commercial structures in conjunction with the seawalk construction. Wilson Engineering provided assistance with the planning and design of the project and provided CA and Inspection of the work.

Construction Cost: $1,250,000.
