Juneau Runway 8/26 Rehabilitation

Wilson Engineering teamed with PND Engineers to provide project management, contract administration, inspection and materials testing for the rehabilitation and resurfacing of the JIA runway. The project consisted of three stages. Phase 1 work included construction of taxiways, roadways, aircraft parking areas, and infrastructure for temporary lighting and navigational aids. Phase 2 work included temporary lighting, navigation aids, pavement markings, reconfiguration of the parallel taxiway to a temporary runway, milling and resurfacing of the runway, replacement of runway lighting systems, and replacement of the Jordan Creek culvert under the runway. Phase 3 included returning the main runway to service and reconfiguring the temporary runway and taxiways back to their original configurations.
Final Completion in September, 2015. Construction Budget: $18 Million.
