Steamship Wharf and Marine Park Improvements

This schedule-sensitive project was completed over the winter of 2002 with the Steamship Wharf required to be functional for cruise ship traffic by early May, 2003 and completely open to the public for the annual 4th of July fireworks event. Structural components of the project involved installing 84 steel piles, placement of pre-cast concrete deck panels, construction of a concrete bulkhead wall and various other structural concrete walls, installation of expanded polystyrene foam backfill, and placement of over 3500 sy of interlocking concrete pavers. Wilson Engineering provided assistance with the planning and design of the project and provided CA and Inspection of the work.
Construction Cost: $5,420,450.
