Wilson Engineering provided Inspections and Materials Testing for both phases of the Douglas Highway Water Main Reconstruction in 2019 and 2020 and also provided contract administration duties for the second phase in 2020. Phase 1 replaced the existing ductile iron water main with a new HDPE water main from Sitka Street to David Street and Phase 2 replaced the existing ductile iron water main with a new HDPE water main from David Street to the Crow Hill CBJ Water Pump Station, and also included a portion of Capital View Court to Second Street. The work included over 9,000lf of 16" HDPE Water Main as well as HDPE branches of varying sizes, 116 services of varying sizes, 16 gate valves, 38 butterfly valves, 17 fire hydrants, 2 air release valves, reconstruction of several sewer manholes, replacement of a section of sewer main line, replacement of associated curb, gutter, and asphalt pavement and associated traffic control.

Final completion in October 2020. Construction Budget: $5.3 million.
