Columbia Boulevard, Poplar Avenue, and Mendenhall Boulevard Reconstruction

Wilson Engineering provided Contract Administration, Inspections and Materials Testing for the two-year Columbia Boulevard, Poplar Avenue, and Mendenhall Boulevard Reconstruction Project. The Project consisted of reconstruction of Columbia Boulevard between Birch Lane and Mendenhall Boulevard, Poplar Avenue from Columbia Boulevard to Mendenhall Boulevard, and Mendenhall Boulevard from Poplar Avenue to Columbia Boulevard. Reconstruction of Columbia Boulevard and Poplar Avenue included replacement of all utilities, new underground storm system, reconstruction of the roadway prism, new curb & gutter and valley gutter, new AC Pavement Sidewalk, and replacement of the AC Pavement for the roadway. Reconstruction of Mendenhall Boulevard consisted of replacement of the water system, miscellaneous repairs to the sewer system, reconstruction of the roadway prism, curb & gutter patching, and replacement of the AC Pavement for the roadway. The project included a total of approximately 3,500lf of 10" HDPE Water Main; 1,600lf of 8" PVC Sanitary Sewer Pipe; 2,380lf of 12", 18" and 24" CPP Pipe Culvert; 1,570T of AC Pavement for the roadway; 222T of AC Pavement for sidewalks and driveways; and 4,400lf of curb & gutter and valley gutter.
Scheduled completion in August 2021. Construction Budget: $2.6 million.
